About Us

Hi, we're Dave & Becky.  Living in New Hampshire, we hadn't really spent any time on Cape Cod until we stumbled upon Centerville while renting a house during a long 4th of July weekend.  Driving around the Mid Cape area with its quaint, unique towns, beautiful Nantucket Sound beaches, close proximity to plentiful Hyannis shops and restaurants, and easy ride from/to the Sagamore Bridge, we knew immediately that we wanted to own a place here ourselves - and placed an offer on our cottage before we left for home!

During that weekend, and many more subsequent trips over the years, we've relished the myriad of options nearby to occupy our time.  Along with swimming in or sailing on the warm, invigorating ocean waters during the summer, we've enjoyed exploring the distinct Upper, Mid, Lower, and Outer Cape regions.  Across the Cape we've cherished the numerous local activities, from concerts down the road at the Cape Cod Melody Tent to the spectacle of 8+ fireworks displays viewed from Craigville and Covell's Beaches to the athletic beauty of windsurfing and kitesurfing at Kalmus Beach to the whimsical artistry displayed at all the fairs and galleries to harvesting plump and briny oysters in the fall/winter offseason.  But we've also appreciated the tranquility of assembling puzzles on a rainy night in the screen porch or sitting mesmerized by the flames of the fire table or fire pit with a delicious bottle of Pinot Noir and the sounds of our favorite playlists.

In the ensuing years, we also dedicated ourselves to completely redecorating the interior and exterior of the cottage, making it into an oasis of relaxation that has been especially invaluable as a private, yet close-by getaway.  And from the first day to today, with all the Cape and the cottage have to offer, our Sirensong still continually calls out to us for our next sojourn of serenity.
